The catfish is the biggest fish in European waters, and one of the most voluminous of epicontinental waters, it can reach a large size under favorable conditions, up to 300 cmin length and 150 pounds,but no specimen has been recorded of this size in more than 100 years, being greater than the pike. HÁBITAT/ HABITAT It is a benthic fish, equipped with large beards and nocturnal activity. It is fed with fishes, but does not reject other vertebrates.
